These terms are an agreement between you and Crab Tech ("we") about the Tamyo app and this website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Who can use Tamyo

Tamyo is for people aged 18 and over. By using it you confirm that you are at least 18.

Not medical advice

Tamyo is a game-like companion for everyday habits. It is not a medical device or a medical service, and nothing in it is medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Estimates are estimates. Talk to a doctor or other qualified professional about your health, especially before changing how you eat or exercise, if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating. If you may be in an emergency, call your local emergency number. In the United States you can call or text 988 for crisis support. Read more on the Health disclaimer page.

Tamyo Premium: subscriptions

Tamyo is free to start. Tamyo Premium is an auto-renewing subscription that adds unlimited photo logs, every nutrient and the full coach range.

• Free trial. Each plan starts with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. When the trial ends, your subscription starts and you are charged the price of the plan you chose, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal. We never see or store your payment details.
• How to cancel. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Tamyo and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also do this from Tamyo's Settings through the "Manage subscription" link, or in the App Store under your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.
• Price changes. If a price changes, Apple tells you and, where required, asks for your consent before it applies to you.
• If Premium ends. You keep your character and your log on the free tier.
• Prices above are in US dollars for the United States; the App Store shows the price for your country before you confirm.

The standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app and is part of these terms.

Your data

Your entries stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. You are responsible for your device and for keeping a backup if you want one.

Using the app and website

Use Tamyo for yourself, lawfully. Do not copy, reverse engineer, resell or interfere with the app or website, except where the law gives you that right. Tamyo, its character, artwork and text belong to Crab Tech and are licensed to you for personal use. Content you create (your entries) remains yours.

Disclaimers and limits

The app and website are provided "as is" and "as available". We try to make the numbers and texts accurate, but food data, nutrient references and estimates can be incomplete or wrong, so use judgment. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights in your country.
